Mikala Nørgaard is a scene icon. As former frontwoman of the band Gørl (with her then-partner and producer Peter Zirbs) or as the striking sidekick of Christian Fuchs‘ „Black Palms Orchestra“ and currently „Christian Fetish“ – she leaves a lasting impression.
Thanks to her exceptional vocal range and commanding physical presence, she turns gender stereotypes upside down on every stage and leaves a lasting impression.
In 2023, natural-born performer Mikala stepped into the spotlight with her own material for the first time. Under the name Mikala Nørgaard, the exceptional singer and performer presents her own compositions and her own show.
After several pop experiments including indie releases on Monkey Music, her old love for the guitar resurfaces – and with it, a new sound. By the end of 2025, a new Mikala Nørgaard takes shape: stripped down to just her electric guitar and drums. Reduced to her own musicality – even more authentic, even more tangible, even greater.
Mikala Nørgaard was born in Denmark and has lived in Vienna since 2006, where she also graduated from the University of Music (guitar). Mikala is accompanied on drums by Sascha Bém (for connoisseurs of Austrian rock music from the nineties and 2000s: Sascha was the drummer for Paradise Now! and CORE).
